Your First Visit

Your Treatment Coordinator will meet you and give you a tour of the office. We prefer to receive your completed Patient Information Form at least one week prior to your exam.

She will introduce you to the many innovative features of our office such as the Playstation II video games in the reception area and the computer check-in station.

She then shows you our toothbrushing station where you will brush your teeth before you are seen in the treatment area. The toothbrushing station is located next to our "on-deck" DVD viewing area where Disney and family movies are shown.

Your First Visit

Continuing on the tour, you will see the treatment area where Dr. Bigman and his team perform all the orthodontic work for your teeth.

Next, our Records Coordinator takes a panoramic digital x-ray and digital photographs of your teeth. These pictures provide Dr. Bigman with information necessary for an accurate diagnosis.

Your First Visit

Dr. Bigman will perform an extensive visual exam, looking at your teeth, jaws, and how they fit together. Dr. Bigman explains his findings and treatment recommendations, and depending on what he sees, he may want to get started with impressions of your teeth.

Your First Visit

Your Treatment Coordinator then thoroughly explains the steps involved in your treatment plan. She shows you the actual orthodontic appliances Dr. Bigman has recommended and answers any questions you may have.

After reviewing your treatment plan, the Treatment Coordinator discusses financial arrangements and assists you in choosing a payment plan that best meets your needs. She schedules your first appointments and gives you a customized New Patient Packet. This packet summarizes Dr. Bigman's findings, treatment goals, and recommendations. It also includes a copy of your digital photos, and contains information about our office policies and procedures. By the end of your first visit, we want you to feel fully informed and completely confident.
