Our Annual Halloween Party was a Ghoulish Hit!
On October 30th, Dr. Bigman hosted his annual Halloween Ice Skating Party for his patients at Dublin Iceland. This party was also a Benefit for The Food Bank and raised 839 pounds of food for The Food Bank! This food was distributed immediately and was much needed during these tough economic times. Despite the economic downturn, Dr. Bigman’s office raised more donations this year than last year!Approximately 600 patients, their families and friends attended this annual event with lots of ice skating fun, spooky music and tasty refreshments. Those who came in costume were entered into our raffle drawing for entertainment pack prizes. The 8 lucky costume winners were: Jonathan Grey, Kristin Nicole Hayden, Chirtina Chong, Melinda Farrell, Mai Nguyen, Colleen Schwartz, Anthony O’Brien and Brianna Anderson. Congratulations! A good time was had by all. Thank you to everyone who donated to The Food Bank! We truly appreciate your generosity! See you all next year!
Our Annual 70's Roller Skating Party was a Great Success!
On May 29th, Dr.Bigman hosted his Annual 70's Roller Skating Party/Benefit for The Smile Train and raised $3300! This is a new record for the office and this event! Approximately 450 patients and their family and friends came for the fun at The Golden Skate. Everyone enjoyed skating, jewelry beading, temporary tattoos and as a new feature this year, balloon twisting by a balloon artist! There were eight lucky costume winners: Kelsey Haydon, Jenna Tait, Riley Arbuckle, Ava Begun, Monet Bridgewater, Brielle Strom, Ashley Pedersen and the Grand Prize Winner, Bailey Maxwell. But, the main feature of the event was the fundraising for The Smile Train’s Smiles-Across-Miles Fundraising Program. The $3300 raised will allow 13 children have cleft surgery in developing countries who would otherwise never receive it.
