1988 - 2008
It is hard to believe I have been practicing orthodontics for twenty years. I still remember fondly as I got off the plane after finishing dental graduate school in New Jersey on July 5th, 1988 and started my 20 years as an orthodontist in San Ramon.I took over a small practice from Dr. Jaeger. It had only 50 patients when I took it over. It was a new experience for me and I was uncertain how run an office and was hoping that Dr. Jaeger’s patients would trust me, as I was 20 years his junior. But, it was the beginning of my professional practice life and the beginning of an exciting journey for me. Since then, techniques have changed, San Ramon doubled in size, the Sizzler on Crow Canyon was replaced by Chili's and all the bare land I saw now is occupied by hotels, shopping centers, and a car wash! And, along the way, I have never stopped enjoying practicing orthodontics and creating a warm and friendly environment for my patients and my team.
I have seen a revolution in orthodontics on how treatment is administered and completed with results better than ever in greater comfort. I continue to learn for the benefit of my patients and I enjoy teaching and sharing knowledge with colleagues and dental students on a regular-basis.
I have been truly blessed with all of the friends, patients and colleagues I have met over the years. Thank you to everyone who has supported me over the past 20 years. I look forward to many more good years to come. 20 years, 6000 smiles and counting.....
